“Want to come to the Inauguration?” asked a friend a few weeks ago. Although I usually seek warming climes in January, I couldn’t pass up visiting Washington D.C. for such an occasion, especially having worked in Colorado for the campaign.
It was a perfect visit to the nation’s capital: touring the monuments, memorials and museums; spending time with old friends and making new ones; re-learning history past and witnessing history in the making. (more…)
