When I meditate, I often visualize myself sitting on a high plateau overlooking an expansive plain underneath wide open skies. I have enjoyed amazing vistas throughout the world, but it was at Ghost Ranch where my meditative vision materialized into reality. This serendipity was just one of many magical moments I experienced at Ghost Ranch.
Most famous as the desert inspiration and home to American painter Georgia O’Keeffe, Ghost Ranch was once the hideout of cattle rustlers, who had spread rumors about witches on the property to keep locals away. Called “Rancho de los Brujos” (“Ranch of the Witches”), over time the property came to be known as Ghost Ranch.
